Info about 8th Grade Literature
Welcome to 8th grade at Central Junior High! I am excited to have you as part of our school community. I am anticipating a great school year!
My name is Megan Deason. This is my eighth year at CJHS. I will be your child’s 8th grade literature teacher. This year my goal is to improve your child’s overall reading and comprehension skills. We will focus on Common Core standards described for reading, writing, and speaking and listening skills. In order to achieve my goal, my classroom rules will be strictly enforced.
My Classroom Rules: Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Be Ready to Learn
Your child will learn more about these rules, as well as the overall school rules and class expectations.
Each student will need to bring the following to class every day:
*a pencil
*a folder
*a notebook used only for literature
Homework will be assigned regularly. I will often assign activities that will help me see how well your child is progressing with the new skills that are being taught.
Thank you for your time and attention, please feel free to email me at[email protected], or call me at 618-937-2444.
Thank you for your support!
